Makati City, Philippines — The Malikhaing Pinoy Creative Policy Lab: Capstone Presentation and Culminating Program concluded today, June 18, 2026 at the Aboitiz Tech Space, Asian Institute of Management (AIM), bringing together government, academe, development partners, and creative practitioners to showcase policy proposals developed through months of collaborative learning and co-creation.

The program formally opened by Paolo Federico A. Ramos, Deputy Executive Director of the Philippine Creative Industries Development Council Secretariat, followed by a message of support from Andrei Nikolai Pamintuan, Head of Arts of the British Council Philippines. Both emphasized the importance of evidence-based policymaking and collaborative approaches in addressing the opportunities and challenges of the creative sector.

Through a series of capacity-building sessions, consultations, and co-creation activities, participants produced five locally responsive policy briefs addressing community needs and strengthening creative ecosystems. These were presented to a panel of LGU representatives, creative organizations, and sector experts, highlighting the value of collaborative policymaking for a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable creative sector.

The policy briefs presented were:
• “Paminawa”: A Cultural Communities Creative Card (4C) and the Indigenous Artisans National Creative Economy Exchange
• CRAFT: Cultural and Creative Rootedness Assessment Framework Tool through the UGAT Framework
• RAKET HERO: Advancing Sustainable Income for Gig Creative Workers through a Public–Private Accreditation Framework
• PROJECT SEEN: Empowering Digital Freelancers Against Exploitation
• NIPA: National Initiative for Participation and Access in the Creative Economy

The event also marked the culmination of the in-country initiative of the ASEAN–UK Creative Economy Policy Training Programme 2026. More than a conclusion, it celebrated a shared commitment to empowering Filipino creatives through policies shaped by communities, for communities. Reaffirming the importance of sustained collaboration in advancing the Philippines’ creative industries, Maria Teresa B. Landicho, Chief of the Intellectual Property, Capacity Building, and Innovation Division, delivered the closing message of the event.
