Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement

About Us

The Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement (PCHM) is a non-profit organization established in 2015 by Chef Jam Melchor, a renowned Filipino chef and advocate for Filipino cuisine. Their mission is to:

  • Promote and preserve Filipino cuisine, tradition, and heirloom produce.
  • Elevate the image and appreciation of Filipino food on a global scale.

How We Help Creative Industries

  • Educational Programs: PCHM organizes workshops, seminars, and talks on various aspects of Filipino cuisine, including historical context, regional specialties, cooking techniques, and indigenous ingredients.
  • Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns: They raise awareness about the importance of preserving culinary heritage and promoting the use of local and heirloom ingredients.
  • Events and Festivals: PCHM organizes events and festivals showcasing Filipino cuisine, such as KainCon, a three-day educational conference held in conjunction with National Filipino Food Month.
  • Collaborations: They collaborate with various stakeholders, including chefs, farmers, food historians, and government agencies, to achieve their goals.
